高一关于春节的英语作文：The Spring Festival

The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. It is celebrated all over the country. The celebrations usually last fifteen days.

Most families prepare dumplings on the New Year’s Eve as supper. Fireworks are lighted everywhere as a signal of saying good-bye to the old year and welcoming the New Year. Most people watch the CCTV Spring Festival programs. Many people even enjoy themselves in many other ways until the next morning.

On the first day of the New Year, people get up early and wear new clothes of all kinds. During the Spring Festival, people do a great many things, such as putting on colorful New Year pictures, cooking Chinese family reunion feast. Besides, they make New Year calls to friends and relatives, greeting each other with happiness. Children usually get red paper containing lucky money.

It is really the most cheerful time in the year for us Chinese. How I enjoy every Spring Festival!
